I've recently started writing some guides on topics which generally relate to computers, technology, and code. It's been my experience that there's a serious lack of knowledge within the programming community regarding tools and approaches that work. This is an attempt to remedy that in part by publishing information about general processes and approaches. This is in contrast to websites like stackoverflow which seek to answer individual questions but often don't include information about how you can get to those answers yourself if you don't have someone who already knows the answer to tell you. In short, these guides are meant to make programmers and technology enthusiasts more self-sufficient. These are techniques and approaches that I have used and had success with. Each situation is a little different; these aren't meant to cover every possible situation you might run into.
